I think that we all wished one day to be able to get to work with the smallest amount of tools as possible !! Well... the future is not quite there yet, but some companies are definitely working on it !! Sometimes, when you just have to go and do that tiny little job, (trimming around a window, installing a door, or installing 1/4 round in a single room) you wish that you wouldn't have to pull all your compressor, hose and nailer out of the truck !! Well a couple of companies have made this possible !! Dewalt and Black & Decker were pretty much the pioneers in that field, and didn't have much competition until now !! As far as I'm concerned, I think that they still have a really good and reliable product on the market right now, but their design is getting a bit bulky compare to the other brands !! The main compromise, is the fact that all of theses nailers have to generate their own energy to hit the nails through the toughest materials and they also have to ...
For me, the best cordless hammer drill must be very convenient and easier than a cord. The brushless hammer drill should be very light and has lots of power and battery life.

Well Dustin it also depends how Heavy Duty you want your cordless hammer drill to be because I personnaly own a Fuel M18 Hammerdrill and that tool has endless power and offers a 5 years warranty that's longer than any major brand out there including Makita, Bosch and Dewalt !! The only thing though is that it's not the lightest in its class since heavy duty drills have to be built with heavier components !! The new Makita heavy duty hammerdrill offers 1090 in/lbs of torque which is far more than my Fuel at 725 in.lbs and its also a little bit lighter !! If weight is one of the most important thing for you there is a new brushless compact hammerdrill made by Dewalt that offers a very decent torque and has a great feel and amazing battery life, but the only negative is that you definitely won't have a workhorse like the Fuel and the Makita !!
